Go Skateboarding Day
OBE teamed up with Nike SB to bring an iconic skate spot back to life. It all started when Nike Skateboarding athlete, Paul Rodriguez revealed a location where skaters could meet up and travel to a secret skate spot. Over 2,000 kids showed up at Stoner Skatepark and rode to the skate spot.
Skaters were treated to a demo by Nike SB athletes, who marveled at their ability to ride without being hassled. The event was a massive success, reverberating throughout the entire skateboard community. Afterward, we even worked with the City of Los Angeles to give the famous West LA Courthouse/Civic Plaza back to skateboarders. Permanently.
