THE CHALLENGE Nike set out to excite and energize local high school football players by creating
a unique and personalized experience during the opening of The STAR—the Dallas Cowboys new world headquarters and practice center in Frisco, TX.
THE IDEA Create an epic jersey reveal for these young athletes unlike anything else the world has seen. At The STAR, Nike unveiled its new jerseys for eight Frisco high school football teams in the new Nike “Texas Tested” locker room in a never-seen-before way: with a hologram.
THE RESULTS The activation housed over 400 live attendees and generated over 13,000 engagements (Likes, RTs, comments, replies, followers—meaning each person triggered engagement from an additional 32.5 people, nearly doubling the industry standard! In addition, the activiation generated over 140,000 impressions on Twitter. Lastly, the event won Gold at the 2016 Experience Design & Technology Awards: Best Use of a Single Technology (B-to-C).
