Everyone seems to be commenting on this today so I will too (I hate feeling left out). Check out Google’s Project Glass:
I’ve been anxiously awaiting this product and, based on the vision set forth in the above teaser video, my anticipation only grows. If successful, innovations like this will get faces out of phones without sacrificing their valuable digital tools.
More than you can say for today’s futurist report on Mashable, which suggests the next decade will be nearly void of direct human contact. Or even, in some cases, humans.
My assumption is these futurists are too locked in on what could be done to think of what should be done. I’ll, instead, be rooting for Google’s ambitious vision: digital tools evolved to connect people in the physical world and not just a virtual one.
